Following 12 successful years in banking, Paul decided to put his knowledge and experience in providing high quality financial advice to further use by setting up as a self employed Independent Financial Adviser in 2011. Based in Darlington, his business has gone from strength to strength, working with a range of clients throughout County Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire. Whether helping people to be better off in retirement, buying and remortgaging properties, protecting and growing a business or investment planning, Paul’s broad knowledge has benefited a number of clients throughout the local area.
The advice we provide is tailored to meet the vastly different needs and objectives of our clients which can only be achieved by spending time with you to understand what you want to achieve and how you want to go about it.
The ongoing success of the business led to the decision in 2019 of Kate to move away from her career as an Accountant and join the practice as an additional adviser to allow us to meet the demand of new clients being referred to us by our existing contacts.
Now this husband and wife team are excited to be able to work with more clients and spend time helping these clients achieve their financial goals. Offering both Independent Financial Advice and Restricted Financial Advice we feel we can truly provide appropriate advice to people from all walks of life.

Paul Jackson
Paul entered banking in 1999, enjoying a successful career in a number of different roles. In 2011, with the demand for Independent Financial Advisers increasing, Paul left banking to use his skills, knowledge and experience, to set up as a self employed Independent Financial Adviser. Paul has a passion for establishing long term relationships with clients and takes pride in understanding what those clients as individuals are looking to achieve.
Away from financial planning, Paul spends time on the squash court or at the gym and loves his challenging work as a Special Constable within Durham Constabulary.

Kate Jackson
Following 8 years in banking, Kate spent 4 years working as an AAT qualified accountant in a Darlington based practice. As a key part of that team, she worked with a number of clients providing advice and guidance on their personal and business tax. This provided her with valuable experience and knowledge that we are delighted she will be able to bring in to her new role as a Financial Adviser. Kate has now passed her Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning which enables her to provide advice in additional areas of financial planning.
When she is not working, Kate enjoys getting to the gym, as many exercise classes as time allows, reading a wide range of fiction books and going for lunch!
